Dr. Martin is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Nephrology at St. Louis University of Medicine and has served as the Chief of Nephrology at John Cochran Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Martin completed a clinical fellowship and an advanced research fellowship in the Renal Division of the Washington University School of Medicine, as well as fellowships with the National Kidney Foundation. Dr. Martin is on the Executive Committee of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Louis University and was Chairman of the NIH General Medicine B Study section and the Endocrinology Study section of the U.S. Veterans Administration. He is a member of the American Federation for Clinical Research and the International Society of Clinical Investigation. He is on the editorial board of the American Journal of Physiology and has authored over 150 publications. Dr. Martin is a Work Group member of Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO). |
